Today is the day that I am finally having a water supply run up to the hut! It has been a killer taking the water tanks up for each guest so will make a huge difference. There will be a cold water tap to the washstand in the composting toilet and another to the sink by the hut. It's mains fed so is drinking water so will free up space in the hut as well where I would normally put another big supply of water. It will also connect up to a gas bottle fed shower so guests are no longer reliant on the solar showers (great in the summer-not so in the winter!) and heating water on the stove. I am also contemplating (for the future) a wood burning Eco hot tub. Let me know your thoughts!

There's something magical about the sight of snowdrops in the bleak winter months. These ones are not far from the hut, all sprinkled at the base of each tree. Looks like the fairies themselves have scattered them there.
I've invested in some new bed clothes made of brushed cotton to make your winter experience even cosier! There's something about brushed cotton that reminds me of my childhood. Lovely.
It would seem that our guests are a romantic lot! I have had a number of bookings by people wanting a surprise Birthday getaway for their partner and no less than 8 enquiries for people wanting to book Valentines weekend! Well done to the couple who secured the booking a few weeks ago. It really is such a wonderful romantic retreat you can't go wrong if you want a breakaway from it all, just the two of you.
